I hope this is necessary, but I want to address the conspiracy theory that Bill Gates is somehow going to implant a tracking device into people by way of a COVID-19 vaccine that doesn’t even exist yet. It boggles my mind that anyone who lives in this decade would think such a thing, but let’sContinue reading “COVID-19 Diary – Day 31”

COVID-19 Diary – Day 30
Today Trump announced he was cutting finding to the W.H.O. which he’s been threatening to do for a few weeks. It remains to be seen if he actually has the ability to make this change, as the funding is largely controlled by the US Congress, and what effects this could have on the world’s COVID-19Continue reading “COVID-19 Diary – Day 30”
COVID-19 Diary – Day 29
It’s my birthday! Check out this delicious cake I got from Dairy Queen: If anyone’s curious, I spent the day watching a movie with friends using the Netflix Party extension for Google Chrome, and then enjoying Discord chats with people, and later on playing several rounds of Jackbox Games. It was the best possible birthdayContinue reading “COVID-19 Diary – Day 29”
COVID-19 Diary – Day 27
There isn’t a lot of news to report today, so I’m going to take this opportunity to share a graphic (I didn’t make it) that debunks one of the conspiracy theory claims going around about COVID-19. Some people have mistakenly come to believe that the 5G network is somehow responsible for COVID-19, due to aContinue reading “COVID-19 Diary – Day 27”
COVID-19 Diary – Day 26
It’s been a while since I’ve reported on current COVID-19 number trends. I am sad to say that there have now been over 100,000 reported deaths from COVID-19 worldwide. It’s a disturbing milestone to say the least! Keep in mind that the USA is recently predicted possibly more than twice that number of deaths justContinue reading “COVID-19 Diary – Day 26”
COVID-19 Diary – Day 25
It feels odd to think that this is the Easter long weekend. I wonder how many people needed to be reminded about it? Time feels a lot more fluid right now, with many people being off of work and mainly staying indoors. We can only hope that most people will avoid large family gatherings thisContinue reading “COVID-19 Diary – Day 25”
COVID-19 Diary – Day 24
There isn’t a lot of news to share today, but one item did stand out to me. Over the last 24 days, many people in BC, and also across the world, have turned to the popular application Zoom for their video conferencing needs. But every week we seem to hear about new security flaws comingContinue reading “COVID-19 Diary – Day 24”
COVID-19 Diary – Day 23
Today in his public address, Prime Minister Trudeau announced that Canada is working with local manufacturers to produce 30,000 ventilators, to help prepare us for increases in serious COVID-19 infections. The address also included plans to work with other manufactures to help supply much needed gloves and medical gowns. More info can be found here.Continue reading “COVID-19 Diary – Day 23”
COVID-19 Diary – Day 22
Today I went on a supply run to the Superstore at Metropolis. This is the first time I’ve visited the mall since beginning my self isolation. The mall itself was nearly empty and almost every store was closed. The dollar store by the old bus loop was notably open however. I arrived at the mallContinue reading “COVID-19 Diary – Day 22”
COVID-19 Diary – Day 21
No diary post yesterday as I didn’t find much to report, and ended up spending most of the day dealing with Service Canada’s website and my ROE. Today brings us to 3 weeks since BC began it’s sort-of but not really lock down. The importance of the 3 week point is largely based on theContinue reading “COVID-19 Diary – Day 21”
