Today BC saw the largest single day report of new infections since March 28th, and the 6th highest single day report since the start of the pandemic. 71 new cases were reported, with many of them being associated with the poultry plant outbreak I reported on yesterday. Minister Adrian Dix and Dr. Bonnie Henry both stressed in their report today that anyone feeling even the slightest bit ill needs to stay home from work right now. Work places are unable to penalize you under the current pandemic guidelines from public health, and by doing the right thing you could save lives.
Dr. Bonnie Henry also mentioned that although BC is doing very well right now, we could see a serious second wave around the fall, and we do not yet know if COVID-19 is seasonal. More info can be found here.
