COVID-19 Diary – Day 65

It’s Monday so it’s chart day

As you can see from the above graph, our weekly number totals continue to a declining trend. This is great news, and is very encouraging about our overall success in fighting this virus. There was also some very important news that came out today that I almost missed. In the last two days there have been zero community transmissions reported in all of BC. Community transmissions are the kind that are most likely to lead to outbreaks and be harder to trace all the contact exposures from.

Some more good news is that there is now only one known case of COVID-19 still active in the entirety of Vancouver Island. They’re hospitalized, and hopefully will recover. So as long as us people from the mainland don’t bring more virus over, Vancouver Island could remain effectively COVID-19 free. Of course that doesn’t mean anyone should stop using protective measures.

That’s all for now, stay safe everyone!
