It’s time for my weekly BC New Infections chart! As you can see our new infection numbers are continuing to decline, which is great news!

It will take at least another 2 weeks before we’ll find out if the Easter long weekend will cause any ripples in our numbers, but hopefully the trend will continue.
Today we also learned from Dr. Bonnie Henry that despite the improvements in our daily numbers, we will not be seeing approval for any large gathering events this coming Summer. That means no Vancouver Pride Parade, no PNE, no big weddings, no conventions, etc. If we are lucky there may still be hope for Halloween though, so let’s keep doing our best and keep our fingers crossed! Dr. Bonnie Henry also said however that if our downward trend does continue, some activities that are currently restricted may have those rules loosened. More info can be found here.
The Canada/US border was set to reopen on April 21st, but today another announcement was made extending it for an additional 30 days. The maximum the border is able to be shut down for is 30 days at a time, so there is no guarantee (or likelihood) that the border will reopen even after then. More info can be found here.
In more personal news, check out the delicious egg-bites I helped make earlier today. They were delicious!

That’s all for now, stay safe everyone!
