The big news today seems to be that many more businesses are jumping on the COVID-19 Hazard Pay bandwagon. The latest companies to increase front line worker pay include Loblaw, Sobeys, Dollarama, Cargill, Giant Tiger and Walmart Canada. This is in addition to the previously reported Save-On Foods. In more good news, London Drugs has graciously offered to distribute boxes of Girl Guide Cookies through their retail stores and online, as the Girl Guides themselves are unable to safely sell them door-to-door this year. This will hopefully go a long way to help their fundraising efforts, and not put them too far behind on future activities (when such are able to be done again). More info can be found here.
